Switching to Hedvig from another insurance company is often easy.

Switch home insurance

When you take a price quote for home insurance, select that you already have an insurance. In most cases we can handle the transition automatically. We’ll keep you updated in the Hedvig app and let you know when the switch is completed.

Switch car insurance

For car insurance, we can fetch the end date for you, but you need to contact your current insurer yourself and cancel your old insurance.

Switch pet insurance

When you sign a pet insurance, you need to check the end date of your current insurance and match it with the start date of your new insurance at Hedvig. You also need to terminate your old pet insurance yourself.

It only takes a minute to report a claim in the Hedvig app, by simply recording a voice message telling us what has happened. No paperwork or long forms to fill out.

We handle smaller claims almost immediately and reimburse you within minutes. For bigger claims, we keep you updated during the process in the app or over the phone. Your service team is available until 10 pm every day.

No, Hedvig doesn't have any lock-in period. You can cancel your insurance at any time and only pay until the cancellation date.
