Deductible

Deductible is a part of the claim cost that you have to pay yourself when using an insurance. The deductible amount is deducted from the compensation that the insurance company pays out to you.

Some type of claims applies without a deductible, for example unused travel expenses in your travel coverage. In some cases, the deductible is a percentage of the claim cost, for example if you use your home insurance for legal assistance.
